Twelve levels, two streams each

Kagira Memorial Academy teaches learners from Baby Class/Playgroup through Grade 9 — Baby Class and Playgroup being the same level. At every level, learners are organised into two streams, or classes.

The school is organised into Lower Primary (Baby/Playgroup, PP1, PP2, Grade 1–3) and Upper Primary (Grade 4–9), giving every learner a consistent, well-known classroom group to grow with as they progress from one level to the next.

Our approach

Learner-centred teaching, an upward trend

Teaching at Kagira Memorial Academy takes a learner-centred approach, keeping the individual learner's progress at the centre of the classroom. The school describes its academic performance overall as showing an upward trend.

Music and sport sit alongside classroom learning as part of a learner's development — with the school's music programme reaching national level, and its sports teams reaching regional level. Learners can also take part in the 4K Club, the Media Club, and Scouts.
